Daljeet, a 29‑year‑old driver, was reportedly dragged home by his friends after a burst of violence erupted at Tor House nightclub, the club’s manager and his wife, and three bouncers were later taken into custody.
The assault began when a beer spill on the manager’s wife sparked a verbal altercation; bouncers allegedly used sticks and glass bottles, poured water over the group, and dragged Daljeet back inside before he was taken to his residence where he collapsed and was rushed to Guru Gobind Singh Hospital.
Pooja, Daljeet’s wife, told reporters that her eight‑year‑old son cannot understand why his father is gone and that she demands justice, saying, "These bouncers are murderers, and strict action must be taken against them."
Police seized the nightclub’s digital video recorder and are reviewing footage while probing whether the club had the requisite permits to operate late at night; the five arrested—manager, his wife, and three bouncers—face murder charges under the Indian Penal Code.
The investigation remains ongoing; the accused are scheduled for court hearings in the coming weeks, and the family expects a verdict that will bring closure.
