Nine ministers from the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) will be sworn in on the morning of May 10, 2026, along with Chief Minister-designate C. Joseph Vijay, after the party's win in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. The ceremony will take place in Chennai and will be conducted by Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, who has received the official list of appointees.
The incoming cabinet includes N. Anand (T. Nagar), Aadhav Arjuna (Villivakkam), K.G. Arunraj (Tiruchengodu), K.A. Sengottaiyan (Gobichettypalayam), P. Venkataramanan (Mylapore), C.T.R. Nirmalkumar (Thirupparankundram), A. Rajmohan (Egmore), T.K. Prabhu (Karaikudi), and S. Keerthana (Sivakasi). Vijay, elected from Perambur and Tiruchi East, will lead the new government, with five ministers representing Chennai, two from the western belt, and three from southern Tamil Nadu.
The ministry includes one woman minister, S. Keerthana, and one representative from the Scheduled Castes. The distribution reflects regional and demographic considerations. Ministerial portfolios have not yet been assigned and are expected to be announced after the swearing-in ceremony.
The swearing-in marks the formal transition to TVK-led governance in Tamil Nadu. The council of ministers will convene shortly after to finalize departmental allocations and announce key policy priorities.
