The Hyderabad Traffic Police issued a traffic advisory on Sunday ahead of a State-level programme organized by the School Education Department at LB Stadium on Monday evening as part of Education Special Week under Praja Palana. Heavy traffic congestion is expected in central city areas from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. due to large anticipated crowds.
Roads likely to face disruptions include the stretch from Ravindra Bharati to Nampally, Liberty to Abids, areas around Basheerbagh junction, AR Petrol Pump to Nampally, and BJR Statue to Abids. Authorities urged commuters to avoid these routes during the event hours.
The police said congestion will be particularly severe around Nampally, Abids, and Basheerbagh junctions before and after the event. The Hyderabad Traffic Police helpline number, 9010203626, will be active from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, and traffic-related concerns can also be reported via official social media platforms.
The advisory remains in effect until the conclusion of the event, with police monitoring traffic flow and responding to complaints in real time.
