The United States, through US Central Command, announced a reward of up to $20 million for information on Iran’s nuclear programme on Friday.
Centcom’s post on X said the State Department’s Rewards for Justice programme seeks intel on Iranian scientists, centrifuges, and personnel movement.
The offer follows Washington’s recent air strikes on Iranian air‑defence sites, which the administration says crippled a missile launcher in the Suza area of Qeshm Island.
President Donald Trump, speaking in West Palm Beach, reiterated that Tehran wants a deal but warned that Iranian nuclear capabilities would be catastrophic if unleashed.
Qatari officials say Iran is reviewing proposals that would lift the U.S. blockade of its ports and release frozen funds in exchange for IAEA inspections of bombed sites.
The U.S. will convene a senior‑level meeting on 2 November to decide whether to move forward with the reward, while a separate diplomatic channel seeks to extend the Strait of Hormuz closure.
