Meesho’s first‑quarter loss was ₹132.8 cr, almost unchanged from the previous quarter, while total expenses climbed 24% to ₹4,382.3 cr.
Operating revenue jumped 34% to ₹4,131.6 cr, driven by a surge in consumer sales of small‑goods platforms, according to the company’s earnings release.
Despite the narrowing loss, the company still faces a hefty cost base, with advertising and logistics expenses accounting for roughly 40% of total spend.
One 26‑year‑old vendor in Bengaluru, who has been selling home décor on Meesho for three years, said the platform’s lower fees have helped him increase sales by 15%.
Analysts expect Meesho to announce its Q3 earnings on 15 June, and are keen to see if the company can push the loss into positive territory.
