On Friday, Air India announced that all flights to Riyadh, Dammam and Jeddah would be suspended until 20 October 2026.
The decision follows a surge in Houthi attacks on Saudi critical infrastructure, including oil facilities and airports, which has raised safety concerns across the region.
IndiGo, Air India Express, and Akasa Air have also extended their suspensions, with IndiGo pushing to 24 October and Akasa to 21 October for Jeddah.
Passengers booked on the affected routes have been offered full refunds, and the airline has urged travellers to re‑book or claim compensation through their insurers.
Air India said it will keep monitoring developments and will resume operations once the security situation stabilises.
