Nandyal District Collector Rajakumari Ganiya on Friday informed Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu that vacant key posts, including the NEDCAP Project Director and District Tourism Officer, are disrupting administrative functions in the newly formed district. She made the remarks during a presentation at the 7th District Collectors’ Conference in Amaravati, identifying staffing gaps as a critical barrier to service delivery.
The Collector said the district is expanding digital governance through the 'Manamitra' platform and the Swarna Gramam–Swarna Ward initiative, which have increased rural access to government services. However, she stressed that the absence of designated officers is affecting land allotment processes and coordination across departments.
Rajakumari also raised concerns over delays in layout registration in Banaganapalle, unresolved court cases on house sites, and unpaid dues under the NTR Housing scheme from 2014 to 2019. She urged immediate intervention to clear pending issues and improve housing delivery.
In response, the Chief Minister directed state officials to review the reported issues and issue necessary instructions to the Capital Region Development Authority (CCLA) without delay. The review is expected to be completed in the coming days.
