Vinayaka Trust Bhavan’s Ganesha idol has been wrapped in bundles of ₹1.93 crore notes, an increase of ₹42 lakh from last year’s ₹1.51 crore. The additional ₹42 lakh was added to the display, making it the most valuable set of currency notes used in a temple this season.
The elaborate decoration is part of the Dhanalakshmi Puja, where devotees pray for financial prosperity. Business owners frequent the pandal to seek blessings for growth, and the temple offers special Lakshmi Ganapathi pujas and homams alongside annadanam.
In response to the massive turnout, the trust installed 12 CCTV cameras and hired a security firm to monitor the premises. Officers will check the crowd flow and ensure the safety of the currency displayed.
The trust has organized Ganesh Navaratri celebrations for 23 years, but this year the ₹1.93 crore display has turned the Shivanagar venue into one of Warangal’s most talked‑about festival attractions.
The idol’s appearance has drawn visitors from across the city, with thousands lining up to catch a glimpse of the thrice‑showered deity.
