Former Kerala DGP P.J. Alexander Dies at 92

Former Kerala Director General of Police (DGP) P.J. Alexander passed away on Friday at a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, due to age-related ailments. He was 92.
Dr. Alexander, a 1961-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer, had a distinguished career spanning several decades, serving as Superintendent of Police in Palakkad, Kozhikode, and Alappuzha, among other key positions.
He also served as managing director of major public sector undertakings, including Travancore Titanium Products and Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), and earned a doctorate on the subject of law enforcement and public order.
The Kerala Police and government officials are expected to pay their respects to the former DGP, with further details on the funeral and official condolences to be announced in the coming days.
