Shares of MedPlus Health Services Ltd edged 2.51% higher to ₹624 on the BSE after the company reported its Q2 earnings — a rare lift for a stock that had fallen 18% earlier in the session.
Revenue surged 21.3% year‑on‑year to ₹2,037 crore, a jump of ₹358 crore over the same quarter in FY26. Analysts had penciled in ₹1,950 crore, so the top line beat expectations by ₹87 crore.
Net profit, however, was essentially flat at ₹56 crore, up only 0.9% YoY from ₹55.5 crore. The company’s EBITDA rose 14.1% to ₹170 crore, but the margin slipped to 8.4% from 8.9% last year, a 50‑basis‑point erosion.
Operating cash flow for the quarter was ₹37 crore, just 37.7% of operating EBITDA. The firm added 166 stores net, with 101 net additions outside Tier‑I metros, bringing the total to 5,642. Stores open over a year saw 13.2% revenue growth and an 11.7% EBITDA margin.
Looking ahead, MedPlus will report FY27 H2 results on 15 November. Market analysts expect revenue to grow 18% YoY but warn that margin compression could persist. The company’s board is reviewing a debt‑reduction plan to bolster the balance sheet before the next quarter.
