Rajasthan Royals batter Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, 15, became the youngest and fastest player in men's T20 cricket history to hit 100 sixes, achieving the feat in 29 innings and 514 balls during his side's IPL 2026 match against Gujarat Titans in Jaipur. The left-handed batter reached the milestone early in his 16-ball 36, which included three sixes, beginning with a maximum off Mohammed Siraj on the first delivery before being dismissed by the same bowler.
Before the match, Sooryavanshi posted a Mother's Day message on Instagram reading, "This one's for you, maa," which quickly gained traction online and was widely shared across social media platforms. The post coincided with Rajasthan Royals' 'Pink Promise' campaign, under which the team wore a special pink jersey inscribed with "Aurat Hai Toh Bharat Hai," a slogan designed by 19-year-old Samiksha Rameshwar Mundada of Nashik, winner of the franchise's national design contest.
The 'Pink Promise' initiative, led by the Royal Rajasthan Foundation, supports women-led social change and solar electrification in rural Rajasthan. The franchise confirmed that each six hit during the match would power six homes, adding that over 780 homes have been electrified through the campaign in 2024 and 2025. Sooryavanshi has emerged as Rajasthan's top batter this season, scoring 440 runs in 11 innings at a strike rate of 236.55, including one century and two half-centuries.
The Rajasthan Cricket Association will review Sooryavanshi's performance as part of its long-term player development assessment, while the Royals plan to expand the 'Pink Promise' campaign to additional districts in June.
