The Bajaj Pulsar 220, bought on 11 September from a dealer in Andheri West, was identified by the Crime Branch after CCTV footage linked it to the trio who fired at Tiger Shroff in Juhu.
The suspects—Hritik (Rohit) alias Roshan from Begusarai, Rehan from Sonipat, and Phool Singh from Haryana—were apprehended at Kota railway station on the Pune‑Jaipur Express at 10:17 a.m., after Mumbai Police traced their movements using passenger records.
Investigators say Rehan had contacts with Anil Pandit, an associate of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, and an audio clip purportedly from Pandit has circulated online, alleging the attack was retaliation for Salman Khan’s alleged involvement in a 1998 blackbuck killing.
Mumbai Police have formed a 20‑member special Crime Branch team to probe whether the motorcycle was procured specifically for reconnaissance or the attack, and they have handed the suspects over to higher authorities for trial.
Shroff, who was shot in a 4‑meter burst at Juhu, suffered minor injuries and is recovering in a Mumbai hospital, while his family expressed gratitude for the swift police response.
A court hearing is scheduled for October 15, where the suspects will face charges under the Indian Penal Code and the Arms Act.
