Gayatri Bishnoi, the president of the AAP Rajasthan women wing, posted a 2‑minute video on X on September 25, 2026 from the official bungalow of Punjab Health Minister Dr Balbir Singh. In the clip she asserted that she resides with her parents in House No. 961 in Sector 39, Chandigarh, and she accused Congress leader Sukhpal Singh Khaira of slandering her by claiming she lived with AAP state unit in‑charge Manish Sisodia. Bishnoi added that she would drag Khaira to court over the alleged defamatory remarks.
Khaira replied on the same platform, repeating Bishnoi’s claims and calling her ‘shameless’, and he alleged that Sisodia was illegally occupying House No. 960, a ministerial residence, with an unnamed woman. He further asserted that Minister Ravjot Singh had been barred from his own bungalow for more than two years and cited an Enforcement Directorate report that Sisodia and AAP colleague Satyendar Jain had operated from government bungalows to summon officers. Khaira’s post was part of a broader criticism of the AAP government following ED searches at 23 sites linked to the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority.
Women’s Commission Chairperson Raj Lali Gill said the body would not tolerate any attack on a woman’s dignity and that strict action would be taken in accordance with law. Gill’s statement follows Bishnoi’s threat to bring Khaira to court and signals that the commission may file a defamation case or pursue other legal remedies. The commission’s involvement underscores the seriousness with which the Punjab government is treating the accusations.
