During the COVID‑19 lockdown, Bjorn Burton spent his evenings sketching a backyard roller coaster, recruiting his father for weekend labor.
He tested the carriage with a 90‑kg load, thrice the intended 30‑kg limit, before allowing a child to ride.
The original playhouse now snakes through mature trees, and the growing branches pose a safety hazard.
Burton has received a handful of offers, all within a few thousand dollars of the target price, and says the ask reflects the time and effort invested.
The coaster, pick‑up from Cockle Bay, remains on sale and Burton hints at building a larger version for his grandchildren.
