CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke posted on X that Rajasthan police had dragged, beaten and detained Deepak Baliyan, a national co‑incharge, before the party’s planned protest on Oct 10 in Delhi.
A Rajasthan Police officer testified that personnel visited Baliyan’s Alwar residence but that he remained at home, and later the agency said the volunteer was released after being taken into custody.
Dipke also accused Madhya Pradesh Police of detaining volunteers from Telangana while they travelled by train through Bhopal, and CJP spokesperson Saurav Das claimed Delhi Police thrashed Mohan Yadav and his young children, alleging the volunteer was targeted for his association with the youth movement.
The protest is part of a broader CJP campaign against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar’s Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls, with the party claiming more than 10,000 affiliates have been detained across the country.
In response, Delhi police have intensified security measures, monitoring arrivals and preparing to prevent unauthorized gatherings, while the CJP continues to claim the actions are an attempt to suppress dissent. The demonstration is set to take place on Oct 10, with authorities warning that any attempts to disrupt the protest will be met with firm enforcement.
