Russian drones destroyed a warehouse in Kyiv that stored props for President Volodymyr Zelensky’s former Kvartal 95 TV studio on Wednesday. The 33‑foot warehouse collapsed under the impact, leaving behind charred sets, costumes and a collection of memorabilia accumulated over two decades.
Kvartal 95, the comedy production company Zelensky co‑founded in 2003, produced the satirical series "Servant of the People" that made him a household name before he entered politics.
The company posted on Facebook that "As a result of yet another attack by Russian drones, a warehouse where our studio's props were stored has been destroyed." It added that staff were unharmed and that the loss includes a large number of sets, costumes and items that had been part of concerts, TV shows, movies and series for twenty years.
Zelensky has not yet issued a statement, but the incident underscores the continued targeting of Ukrainian cultural sites amid the war.
Ukraine is demanding accountability from Russia for the strike, and officials say they will file a formal complaint with international bodies.
The warehouse once housed props that were used in scenes that resonated with families across the country, making the loss a blow to the collective memory of Ukrainian viewers.
