The flight, operated by Biman Bangladesh Airlines, departed London and was en route to Bangladesh when a heated argument erupted between two male passengers, escalating into a physical fight that left one man’s t‑shirt torn.
Uddin Alim, who was also aboard, captured the chaos on his phone and posted the footage on Facebook, describing the scene as "very disturbing" and noting that children and elderly passengers were forced to endure the confrontation while thousands of feet above the ground.
Cabin crew members and several passengers rushed to break up the fight, restraining the men until the crew could regain control of the cabin. The video shows other passengers, including a toddler, looking terrified as the altercation unfolded.
Biman Bangladesh Airlines’ general manager for public relations, Mahbubuddin Ahmed, told Dhaka Tribune that the airline is "looking into it" and has not yet released a formal statement.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh will likely launch a formal probe to determine whether the airline’s safety protocols were breached, and the incident may prompt a review of in‑flight conflict‑management procedures across the sector.
