Harry Bishnoi’s detention follows a broader crackdown on the gang’s transnational extortion network. The gang, led by Lawrence Bishnoi, has operated from Canada, with Harry and Goldy Dhillon executing extortion schemes.
Anmol Bishnoi, a key player, was recently deported to India, underscoring the cross‑border reach of the organization. Harry first came to public attention after threatening a sarpanch in Punjab’s Taran Taran district, sparking protests in 2023.
In Jaipur, two gang members were arrested and revealed that Harry and Anmol had directed them to extort ₹10 crore from a businessman. The plot was uncovered during questioning.
Last May, the gang split with Goldy Brar and formed a new overseas faction with Rohit Godara, while Arzoo Bishnoi and other overseas members remained loyal to Lawrence Bishnoi.
Law enforcement officials are coordinating between U.S., Canadian, and Indian authorities to dismantle the network, highlighting the global reach of Indian criminal syndicates.
