The Democratic Party’s House Judiciary Committee released a 53‑page report on Thursday that revisits a 1993 incident involving former Miss Switzerland Beatrice Keul and President Donald Trump.
Keul, then 24, met Trump at a pageant event in New York’s Plaza Hotel, which Trump owned at the time, and later encountered him at his Atlantic City Plaza Hotel. According to Keul, Trump grabbed her from behind, tore her dress, and forced her to promise silence while repeating offers of a visa and NYU admission. She described the assault as brutal, leaving her bleeding and bruised.
Representative Jamie Raskin, ranking Democrat on the committee, called for an independent special counsel to probe Trump’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein, asserting that the Department of Justice, led by former Trump attorney Todd Blanche, had failed to pursue justice. The committee’s demand comes as the November 3 election approaches and Democrats warn that the DOJ’s refusal could erode public trust.
Trump’s spokesperson slammed the allegations as a “desperate distraction.” The committee will file a formal request to the U.S. Attorney General within the next week, a move that could trigger a federal investigation.
