Fourteen days in, and the numbers barely flinch. As per Sacnilk data, Drishyam 3: The Conclusion pulled in a net of ₹4.25 crore on Day 14 across 10,809 shows. It’s a solid holdover, especially considering the box office is currently clogged with fresh titles like Jailer 2, Ranabaali, and Prahaar: The Untold Story of Ujjwal Nikam. Yet, the film refuses to die a quick death. The total India gross now sits at ₹399.05 crore, with the net collection at ₹333 crore. One more good weekend and it officially joins the ₹400 crore club, a rare feat for a thriller in this economy.
The global tally is even more impressive. Add the ₹116 crore collected overseas, and the worldwide gross hits ₹515.05 crore. For Ajay Devgn, this is a career-best. No other film of his has ever crossed these numbers. It’s also his first-ever ₹300 crore net hit in India. The star power is undeniable, but the engine driving these numbers isn’t just the name on the poster. It’s the sheer weight of the performance.
Critics have been quick to note who actually carries the film. Saibal Chatterjee of NDTV put it bluntly: “Come for Ajay Devgn, stay for Jaideep Ahlawat.” He’s right. Ahlawat brings a gravitas that makes the villain’s arc indelible, adding a layer of menace that Devgn’s usual charm can’t replicate. The direction by Abhishek Pathak, who also co-wrote the script, leans heavily on the original spirit of the franchise without relying on the Malayalam plot. It’s a standalone story, credited to Pathak, that manages to feel fresh even in its third installment.
The cast is stacked, with Tabu, Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, and Prakash Raj all playing pivotal roles in Panorama Studios and Star Studio18’s production. But the real question now is sustainability. Can it push past ₹350 crore net in India? With the competition heating up, every single screen matters. For now, the verdict is clear: this is a commercial heavyweight that knows how to hold the floor.
