The 15‑minute rapid‑charging feature cuts downtime for operators of the Montra SUPER AUTO FX electric three‑wheeler, letting them return to passenger service almost immediately after a quick stop.
The partnership with Exponent Energy unlocks a network of more than 200 chargers across Bengaluru, Chennai and Delhi NCR, so drivers have a reliable charging point whenever they need it.
Beyond the fast‑charge promise, the vehicle itself offers a claimed on‑road range of over 150 km, 60 Nm of torque, and a 32 % gradability rating. Optional hill‑hold assist, push‑button start, an in‑cabin light and a 12 V mobile‑charging socket round out the feature set, making it a practical choice for daily urban rides.
Exponent Energy backs the battery with a 225,000‑km warranty, while Montra’s own five‑year or 225,000‑km guarantee covers the whole vehicle. The joint warranty framework is designed to reassure operators that the battery and the car will perform reliably over a long haul.
The launch comes after Montra introduced its ONE Pass pay‑per‑use Energy‑as‑a‑Service model earlier this year, which ties energy costs to actual usage. That shift aligns with the Indian government’s push to increase electric vehicle adoption through lower total cost of ownership.
The rapid‑charging option is already live in the three launch markets, with plans to roll it out to other metros pending network expansion. Buyers should keep an eye on the expanding charging infrastructure and any updates to the vehicle’s price or trim levels as the model gains traction.
