Saudi forces launched a series of airstrikes on Saturday over Yemen's Houthi‑controlled capital Sanaa and its governorate, with media linked to the Iran‑backed faction reporting around 20 additional strikes on the port city of Mocha. Al‑Masirah, the Houthi broadcaster, said a strike hit a residential house in Sanaa, killing at least three civilians and wounding several others, while another hit a cement factory in the governorate, killing several and wounding others. The attacks come as the Saudi‑led coalition announced it had intercepted two Houthi missiles aimed at the western Saudi cities of Taif and Yanbu, prompting the civil defence agency to issue warnings for four western provinces, including Mecca and Jeddah. The Saudi intervention began in 2015 and stalled after a 2022 ceasefire, but the conflict reignited in July amid the wider Middle East war, adding fresh urgency to the coalition's operations.
