
Shares of Kalpataru Projects Ltd. opened higher on Monday but closed 0.6% lower at ₹1,382.5, a swing that leaves the stock 15% up for the year.
The June‑quarter results showed net profit at ₹310 crore, a 45% year‑on‑year rise from ₹214 crore. Revenue climbed 4% to ₹6,401.8 crore, and EBITDA grew 7% to ₹562 crore, lifting the margin to 8.77% from 8.51%.
The company also announced a letter of award for a gas‑pipeline EPC project in the UAE worth more than ₹4,000 crore, a contract classified as 'major' by Kalpataru. MD & CEO Manish Mohnot said the win reinforces the firm’s technical expertise and global operational scale. In addition, the company secured ₹2,025 crore worth of new orders across power, oil & gas, and industrial sectors.
The next earnings report is expected in October, and analysts will be watching whether the order pipeline can sustain the current profit momentum. Investors are also comparing the firm’s margin expansion to the sector average of 8.2% for oil‑and‑gas EPC players.
