Ukrainian forces hit three sites involved in missile production across Russia overnight, according to the General Staff. The strikes targeted a factory in the Tver region manufacturing missile components and a center in the Nizhny Novgorod region dedicated to disassembling intercontinental ballistic missiles.
Moscow’s regional governors confirmed the impacts. The governor of Nizhny Novgorod stated that one serviceman died while repelling the attack, adding that drone debris caused minimal damage to local infrastructure. In Tver, the governor reported a fire at a plant in Redkino on Friday morning, which was extinguished.
Ukraine has intensified its campaign against Russian oil refining and military production hubs using a growing fleet of domestically produced drones and missiles. The stated objective of hitting the Nizhny Novgorod facility was to degrade Russia's ability to source explosives and rocket fuel.
Kiev continues to expand its long-range strike capabilities, shifting focus from frontline trenches to the industrial heartland of the enemy. The next phase of these operations will likely depend on Ukraine's ability to sustain drone production and evade Russian air defenses in the coming weeks.
