BJP National President Nitin Nabin accused Congress of fueling an atmosphere of anarchy in Delhi during a protest march on Wednesday, after police removed several opposition MPs from Jantar Mantar.
Nabin posted the remarks on X, warning that Congress’s "anti‑national mindset" and focus on infiltrators threatened citizens’ rights. “The Congress is concerned not with citizens but with its vote bank and illegal infiltrators,” he wrote.
At the Jantar Mantar site, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and other opposition leaders were escorted away by police, leaving Priyanka lying on the road while the crowd gathered. A local vendor, who had set up a stall nearby, reported seeing the chaos unfold.
The CEC’s Gyanesh Kumar faces mounting pressure to resign, with Congress leaders demanding accountability and threatening to take the matter to court.
The Opposition has scheduled a meeting with Delhi police to file a formal complaint, while the Election Commission is expected to respond by the end of the week.
