President Trump took a swipe at the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein while addressing a crowd in Chillicothe, Ohio, just days before the June midterm elections.
He recalled, "I threw Epstein out of a club like 20 years ago because I thought he was a wackjob," and added that the former friend was "totally exonerated from me."
A protester shouted in the crowd, calling Epstein a "sex offender" and demanding accountability, while White House spokesperson Karine Jean‑Pierre emphasized that the president had never been formally charged in connection with Epstein’s crimes.
In the same breath, Trump praised Republican Sen. Jon Husted, saying, "I started by looking at his ass, and it was strong as hell," before noting the senator’s college‑football background.
The remarks come after Epstein’s death in federal custody in 2019, which was ruled a suicide amid pending sex‑trafficking charges.
