Adam Gilchrist's 117 off 108, featuring 11 fours, steered Kamran Public School to a 172‑run victory over Happy Palace Grammar in the PCB Talent Hunt U‑17 championship.
The innings spanned 145 minutes, with the teenager smashing 11 boundaries after the 25‑run deficit. In the 27th over, four successive fours erased the shortfall and set the tone for a dominating finish.
Coach Asif Raza applauded the 117, saying, "He played with the composure of a seasoned pro, blending power with patience. His tempo controlled the game and lifted the entire side."
The performance not only gives Kamran Public a clear edge but also places Gilchrist on the radar of national selectors. With the PCB tournament now in its second phase and 3,300 schools registered, the youngster has a bright pathway ahead. Kamran will next face Delhi Public School in the semi‑finals.
