Polycab India Ltd. closed at ₹8,414 on the BSE, up ₹164 (1.99%) after the company reported a 39% YoY jump in Q4 revenue to ₹8,209 crore, surpassing the ₹7,902 crore consensus.
EBIT for the quarter climbed 32.5% YoY to ₹1,136 crore, edging past the ₹1,062 crore estimate, while EBITDA margin narrowed to 13.8% from 14.6% last year, a 70‑basis‑point slide that still sits just above the 13.4% forecast.
The NSE has moved to exclude Polycab from the equity derivatives segment effective 30 Dec 2026 after the company was named under the IBC. No new futures or options contracts will be issued beyond the October 2026 expiries, and a 100% margin will be applied to existing positions from 13 Oct 2026.
Post‑expiration, the firm will be subject to IBC‑driven price bands and gross settlement rules from 1 Jan 2027. Investors now watch the upcoming Q1‑FY27 filing for guidance, with analysts noting that the wires‑and‑cables arm, which grew 38% YoY to ₹7,202 crore, remains a key growth engine.
