Bitcoin surged 1.0% to $82,500 today, reclaiming the $80,000 support level after a dip below that mark last week.
The rally comes amid a 3.7% rise in U.S. September inflation, a fact that keeps the Federal Reserve’s policy outlook tight.
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs reported a $228 million net outflow between Oct 12‑16, while Ether ETFs shed $320 million, according to Giottus CEO Vikram Subburaj.
The Crypto Fear and Greed Index rebounded to 50, signaling neutral sentiment; Ether up 1.5% to $2,420 and Solana up 2.3% to $105.23.
Minal Thukral, EVP of CoinDCX, said the $82,500 rebound "supported gains across the altcoin market."
Bitcoin’s ability to stay above $80,000 will be tested before the Fed’s Oct 27‑28 meeting—any shift in institutional flows or inflation expectations could reshape the rally.
