A notice was sent to Sukhbir Singh Sandhu, the former IAS officer now serving as Election Commissioner, after his enumeration form listed him as Dr. S. S. Sandhu, while the electoral roll had him as Sukhbir Singh Sandhu.
The District Election Officer posted on X that the submitted documents were cross‑checked and the discrepancy cleared, citing ECI guidelines issued on May 14 that mandate inclusion of flagged electors for final validation.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, whose entry in Assembly Constituency 14 also triggered a notice, was similarly cleared after her paperwork matched the roll, according to the Chief Electoral Officer.
All claims and objections received up to September 30 will be resolved by October 29, after which the final electoral roll for Delhi Cantonment (AC‑38) will be published on November 4, 2026.
To aid voters, the Delhi election office has scheduled verification camps on September 20 and 27 across all polling stations, allowing citizens to update details and contest entries.
