Shares of Dilip Buildcon sank 3.2% to ₹373.50 by 11:50 am, wiping out the 2% rally that followed the company’s announcement of a ₹688.23 crore contract with the National Highways Authority of India.
The order, awarded under a Hybrid Annuity Model, covers a 4‑lane elevated corridor on NH‑65 in Solapur and is slated for completion in 24 months, after which Dilip Buildcon will maintain the stretch for 15 years.
Earlier this month, the firm also secured a ₹1,800 crore pipeline project from the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board, a move that had lifted its shares by a modest margin before the NHAI award.
Analysts note that infrastructure contracts of this magnitude typically generate a short‑term lift; however, the stock’s 52‑week low of ₹352.80 and a YTD decline of 21% have dampened investor enthusiasm.
Going forward, Dilip Buildcon is expected to disclose its Q4 earnings next month, with analysts monitoring whether revenue growth from these new projects offsets the company’s ongoing valuation concerns. The market will also keep an eye on any further government contracts announced by NHAI or other state agencies.
