At 10:23 a.m. IST, ACME Solar’s NSE ticker (ACMESOLAR) closed 3.2% higher at ₹1,352, the strongest lift since March. The rally followed the release of Q2 figures that showed net profit at ₹269 cr, a 133.5 % YoY jump.
Revenue hit ₹1,007 cr, up 67.5 % from ₹601 cr a year earlier and outpacing consensus of ₹920 cr. EBITDA rose 63.6 % to ₹874 cr, with an 86.7 % margin, slightly below the 88.8 % margin recorded a year ago. According to the BSE filing, the company’s operating efficiency remained solid.
The quarter saw the commissioning of 2.1 GWh of battery‑energy‑storage systems (BESS), pushing cumulative capacity to about 5.2 GWh. ACME Solar now targets 12 GWh for FY27, up from the previous 10 GWh goal. It has secured revenue visibility over ₹1,600 cr for FY27 BESS sales, and ₹1,500 cr for FY28, reflecting a firm pipeline in the high‑growth storage segment.
Looking ahead, the board has raised the 2030 renewable generation target to 15 GW from 10 GW, and the company expects Q3 margins to stay above 85 %. Analysts see the firm poised to add another 2 GWh of BESS by Q4, while investors await the November 15 earnings announcement for further guidance.
