David Ingram is selling his dream. The Toronto-based founder of Sweat and Tonic put his Red Hook, New York, estate on the market this month for $19.5 million, according to Mansion Global. It’s not just a house; it’s one of only two standalone residences in the world designed in partnership with Aston Martin.
Ingram bought the land in 2020, when the property existed merely as renderings. He spent five years reworking the design, expanding the original plans to fit his life. The result is a 7,773-square-foot main residence perched on 55 bucolic acres in Dutchess County, roughly two hours from Manhattan. It features a dark metal roof, blackened cedar façades, and floor-to-ceiling glass that pulls the Catskills mountains into the living room.
The design is deeply personal. Ingram, 60, has been obsessed with Aston Martin since seeing the grey DB5 in the 1964 James Bond film Goldfinger. He currently drives a DB12 but still chases the original DB5. The house mirrors that aesthetic. “It’s the car I’ve always dreamt about,” Ingram told the outlet. “Everything about the design and the coolness and association with the brand franchise has made the whole thing more fascinating.”
Inside, the home offers four bedrooms, five full bathrooms, and an underground, glass-enclosed automotive gallery for three collector cars. The grounds include a 50-foot pool, a tennis court, a spring-fed pond, and three separate one-bedroom pods. Jason Karadus of Corcoran Country Living, who listed the property, called it “a piece of art” and the highest-priced listing in the region’s history.
Ingram is selling because he’s busy. He has opened three new wellness centres in Toronto and one in West Hollywood, leaving him too little time to maintain the Hudson Valley estate. He wants the home to go to someone who will use it, not leave it empty. “I want to give it to someone else brand new while it’s still in perfect condition,” he said. The house is available now, with no specific closing date announced.
