Apple unveiled HomeView, HomePod mini 2 and Apple TV 4K in New Delhi on Oct 30, 2024, with HomeView priced at Rs 39,900.
Apple’s new smart‑home hub will sit on a 7‑inch touch screen, integrating with Siri and supporting Zigbee, Matter and Wi‑Fi, allowing users to control lights, cameras and appliances from a single interface.
The device is the first Apple product fashioned specifically for the domestic environment, marking a shift from its previous limited smart‑home presence.
CyberMedia Research VP Prabhu Ram warned that “Apple must prove that context‑aware AI makes the connected home meaningfully more useful, while addressing interoperability and adoption barriers.”
HomePod mini 2 launches at Rs 18,900, while the refreshed Apple TV 4K starts at Rs 39,900; all three will roll out in phases, beginning on the same day.
Early online orders for HomeView have already surpassed 10,000 units within 24 hours, and Apple plans to expand distribution to other metros next month, targeting a 5% share of the Indian smart‑home market by 2025.
