Adam Robinson’s terse reply, “I guess I’m dead,” on X in July 2023 has taken on a chilling tone after his death. The remark, originally a snide jab at a discussion about SaaS hubs, resurfaced when news of the Learjet 60 crash broke. Users on the platform noted the eerie coincidence as the post went viral again.
The Learjet 60, registered N1234, departed from Palm Beach County Airport with eight aboard, bound for North Eleuthera. At 1:32 p.m. EST, the aircraft encountered light clear icing and moderate turbulence, according to cockpit recordings, before it entered a rapid descent and crashed near the sea.
Robinson, founder of Retention.com and MoltSets, had built a $20 million ARR business in less than four years. He was married to Helen Sharp, and the couple had two children, Emma and Charlie, aged four and two. The group also carried nanny Anita Maria Cetina, friend Rachael Reed, and Charmi Fehr.
The National Transportation Safety Board opened a formal investigation on November 2, citing an overspeed condition and mayday call. Preliminary findings will be released by March 2027, and the board will recommend safety changes if needed.
