Carlsberg India Ltd. filed an updated draft red herring prospectus on Oct 27, detailing an offer‑sale IPO that will see promoter South Asian Breweries Pvt Ltd. off‑load up to 8.64 cr equity shares, with no fresh issue component.
According to the updated filing, FY26 revenue slipped 2.2% to ₹8,708.8 cr, while net profit leapt 22% to ₹534.51 cr, outpacing the 18% profit growth forecasted by analysts for the period.
The offer‑sale structure, common among foreign‑listed Indian subsidiaries, aligns Carlsberg with peers such as Hyundai Motor and LG Electronics, which recently listed in India.
Kotak Mahindra Capital Company, Citigroup Global Markets India and JPMorgan India have been named as lead managers for the public issue, indicating strong institutional backing.
With SEBI’s approval already secured on Oct 1, the next milestone will be the finalisation of pricing and allotment, expected in the first week of November, as the company seeks to tap India’s deep liquidity pool.
