The third attempt did the heavy lifting. Bhagyashri Jadhav unleashed a 8.19m throw that not only secured the silver medal but also marked her personal best in the women's shot put F34 event at the Asian Para Games.
It wasn't a blowout. China's Lijuan Zou dominated the field, smashing a Games-record 9.07m to take gold. But Jadhav stuck to the task, having already put up 8.14m in her second try, and managed to squeeze out those final centimeters on the final count to stay ahead of her compatriot Caiyun Zuo, who settled for bronze at 7.56m.
This is no fluke. It's Jadhav's second consecutive silver in this specific event at the Asian Para Games. The consistency is remarkable, even if that elusive gold remains just out of reach against Zou's towering form.
The podium is locked, but the Asian Para Games 2026 schedule is still rolling. Eyes now shift to the next track and field events.
