Shares of Senco Gold (SENGO.NS) surged 10.5% to ₹353.7 on Thursday after the company released a Q2 filing showing revenue up 31% YoY.
The jump was driven by a 29% rise in retail sales and a 19% lift in same‑store sales, while diamond jewellery sales exploded 40% from a year earlier.
Volume growth was modest at 7%, but the company reported a 50% increase in customers exchanging old gold, signalling robust demand for new pieces.
Senco opened six new showrooms in the quarter, expanding its network to 215 stores across India, and highlighted a focus on lightweight and 9K collections to improve inventory turns.
Looking ahead, the company expects strong seasonal demand in Q3, backed by wedding demand and a festive calendar, and aims to further tighten replenishment discipline.
Senco’s filing suggests that the firm will continue to capitalize on organised retail strengths to capture market share amid rising gold prices.
