The 3.25-acre parcel at 3903 Carbon Canyon Road in Malibu changed hands for $6.5 million, just over a year after the January 2025 wildfires reduced the structure to ash. The buyer remains anonymous, but the price tag confirms the land as the region’s priciest post-disaster sale.
The property, once the childhood home of models Gigi and Bella Hadid and their brother Anwar, had a chaotic market history. Yolanda Hadid and David Foster bought it in 2007 for $4.5 million, later reselling it in 2015 for $19.5 million. By the time the fires struck, the asking price had climbed to $34.99 million.
Bella Hadid documented the loss on social media, sharing aerial photos of the charred remains. The site, which offered Pacific Ocean views and 6 bedrooms, was relisted in May 2025 for $16 million by agents Daniel Milstein and Aaron Kirman of Christie’s International. They pitched it as a blank canvas for a proposed 14,000-square-foot rebuild, complete with three pools and a home theater.
The final sale price tells a harder truth about the post-wildfire market. Agents told TMZ they took pride in the deal, framing it as a sign of Malibu’s resilience. The $28.49 million gap between the pre-fire listing and the final sale price underscores the premium buyers now demand for raw, buildable land over celebrity associations.
