Advent International, a global private‑equity powerhouse, closed its 11th flagship fund with $26.5 billion, surpassing the $26 billion target announced earlier this year.
The firm also unveiled Advent Mid‑Market Private Equity, a dedicated vehicle raising $3.1 billion to pursue buyouts and growth capital in North America and Europe.
Investors will seek companies with enterprise values up to $1.2 billion, aiming for equity stakes of $100 million to $350 million—filling a gap between mega‑cap deals and small‑cap transactions.
Advent’s chief investment officer, Anil Gupta, said the move positions the firm to capture a growing mid‑market segment, with the first portfolio company expected to be announced by the end of the current fiscal year.
