Mayawati, the BSP’s long‑standing chief, used her X post on Oct 18 to highlight Akash Anand’s renewed commitment to the party after his father‑in‑law Ashok Siddharth’s retirement from politics last September.
Anand, now the party’s national coordinator, will speak at five major public meetings: Bulandshahr on Oct 28, Saharanpur on Nov 2, Ayodhya on Nov 20, Agra on Nov 22, and Kanpur Nagar on Nov 29. In addition, he will address a Constitution Day seminar in Punjab on Nov 26 and a post‑Ambedkar memorial meet in Haridwar on Dec 6.
Mayawati made it clear that Siddharth would not be readmitted to the BSP, dismissing circulating rumours and warning workers against selfish elements seeking to mislead them.
She also announced that Ishan Anand, Akash’s younger brother, who earned a law degree in London, will join the BSP’s Delhi headquarters to handle election‑related paperwork under her guidance.
