In the early evening of Sunday, three men on a motorcycle opened fire on Tiger Shroff’s entourage in the Juhu area of Mumbai, striking his driver in the hand while the actor escaped uninjured.
An audio clip surfaced shortly after the shooting, featuring a voice that identified itself as Anil Pandit of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The speaker claimed responsibility for the attack and warned that anyone in the film industry working with Salman Khan would face lethal retaliation.
Lawrence Bishnoi, jailed in Gujarat, has a history of threats against Salman Khan, citing the 1998 blackbuck hunting incident as a provocation. In 2023, the National Investigation Agency listed Khan among the top ten targets for the gang.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has urged the Mumbai Police Commissioner to expedite the investigation and take stringent action against those involved. The commissioner has been instructed to gather evidence and identify the attackers.
Police have opened a case under the Maharashtra Police Act, and investigators are tracing the motorcycle and the gun used. A press briefing is scheduled for Monday to update the public on progress.
