Polycab India’s stock slipped 1.83% to ₹8,260 on the BSE, trailing the sector’s modest gains amid a flurry of corporate debt news.
The company disclosed a net cash balance above ₹4,000 crores and a net‑worth of ₹11,682 crores in its audited accounts for the year ended 31 March 2026, underscoring a solid liquidity cushion.
The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) on Oct 9 stayed the National Company Law Tribunal’s (NCLT) admission order that had set the company on the Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process for a ₹2.79‑crore operational dues claim filed by Asier Metals Pvt Ltd.
In a statement, Polycab reiterated that the stay “keeps the order in abeyance” and that the dispute is a commercial matter; it also stressed that its zero‑debt stance and strong balance sheet should shield it from adverse operational impact.
The appeal is slated for hearing on Oct 26, 2026. While the stay tempers immediate risk, analysts advise monitoring the court’s ruling, as any reversal could re‑ignite market volatility ahead of the next earnings release.
