Dr Afeena Raheem, a 32‑year‑old dentist from Kerala, collapsed in the kitchen of her Sharjah home on Monday morning and later died. She had stepped away from her practice to care for her two children, according to family.
Her husband, Yasar T., a teacher, was at work when she fell. Her sister‑in‑law, Ramsheena, woke to a child's cry and found her slumped.
Ramsheena immediately began CPR and called an ambulance; the family said she was rushed to a private hospital but could not be revived. The cause of death remains undetermined, though her husband insisted she had no known medical issues.
The family, now waiting for a death notification, plans to repatriate her body to Kerala. Her son, barely a toddler, will now grow up without her.
