Jio Platforms' FY24 top line hit ₹1.47 lakh crore, a 33% jump from ₹1.10 lakh crore the year before—a swing that dwarfs the 26% growth analysts had priced in. Net profit, hovering around ₹30,000 crore, underscored by a tightening leverage ratio that fell to 0.36x from 0.88x, signals a solid balance‑sheet footing.
The company’s four‑layer stack—network, devices, OS, and apps—holds 361.6 million monthly active users and taps into a 500‑million‑customer base. Its 5G network, built entirely in‑house, powers 524 million mobile subscribers, while 27 million fixed‑band customers fuel JioAirFiber, the world’s largest fixed‑wireless operator.
On the enterprise front, Jio’s network services 90% of state electricity discoms and 80% of airport operations. It also partners with 10 of 12 public‑sector banks and 20 of 21 private lenders, placing it at the heart of India’s digital infrastructure.
Financially, the 33% revenue rise is matched by a 30% profit lift, outpacing the sector average of 22% YoY. Analysts note that the company’s margin expansion, from 18% to 23%, reflects efficient scaling of its platform and monetisation of its digital ecosystem.
Looking ahead, Jio Platforms is eyeing an IPO before the end of the fiscal year, with a price band yet to be announced. The firm’s board plans to raise capital for global expansion and to further strengthen its AI and cloud services, positioning the company as a technology play beyond traditional telecom.
