Arjun Kumar, a 15‑year‑old from Todapur, was spotted in Ghaziabad after a 21‑month disappearance that began on December 25, 2024. He allegedly fled his home following a quarrel over school attendance, choosing instead to survive on hotel and shop jobs. The incident prompted a kidnapping complaint lodged by Rajinder Nagar Police.
The police immediately scoured 153 CCTV feeds, 24 shelter homes and 27 orphanages across the Delhi‑NCR region, also checking several religious sites, but found no clues. The search extended into neighboring districts, yet the trail remained cold.
Local informants later reported sightings of the boy in Ghaziabad. Officers circulated his photographs to residents, and within a few days the teen was located on September 25, 2025.
At Rajinder Nagar Police, Arjun was identified by his mother and handed over to the investigating officer for further questioning. The transfer marked a turning point in the case.
