The Indian Government has extended the Resilience & Logistics Intervention for Export Facilitation program, offering up to 95% risk coverage for shipments until March 31, 2027, following a decision announced by the Ministry of Commerce on Monday. The move follows sustained geopolitical tensions in West Asia.
The program was introduced to cushion exporters against insurance premium hikes triggered by the Gulf blockade.
The extension will allow exporters to secure lower insurance premiums and maintain supply chains across the Gulf until the deadline. Exporters can apply through the Ministry's portal, which remains open until March 31, 2027.
The Ministry said the decision is part of a wider strategy to support export competitiveness amid global supply‑chain shocks.
