Miranda Worby holds the world’s largest My Little Pony collection, a tally of 4,550 distinct items certified by Guinness World Records in September 2026. The British collector’s passion traces back to age four, when her parents denied her a real horse and instead gave her a pink pony named Snowflake, which she still owns today.
The obsession has outgrown her physical space. Worby moved to a larger house in Lowestoft, Suffolk, by 2018 to accommodate the influx of figures, backpacks, mugs, and clothing. Yet the shelves are maxed out. She now keeps a comparable number of items in external storage, effectively splitting her empire between her living room and the warehouse.
The collection includes rare artifacts that defy standard merchandise. Worby owns a 1990s arcade ride so bulky that she had to remove the previous owner’s front door to extract it from a bungalow. She sat in the car’s footwell during the transport because the ride occupied the entire back seat. Another prized possession is Fireball, a pony manufactured in Thailand, of which only two examples are believed to exist.
Her social media handle, @sniffingplasticponies, reflects a sensory detail that sets her apart. Worby notes that the figures retain individual smells, a trait she finds as compelling as their visual design. She has traveled up to two hours for specific finds and even competes with other buyers at local auction houses to secure rare pieces.
The record does not signal an end to her acquisition strategy. Worby continues to seek new additions, relying on a network of enthusiasts across the UK to pick up ponies on her behalf. Her favorite item remains the Megan and Sundance figure set, a gift from her fifth birthday that anchors the collection in personal memory rather than market value.
