At about 9:30 pm on Wednesday, a white Tata Safari rolled up beside a sidewalk near Mukherjee Nagar, setting the stage for an assault that would unfold after two women had left Vijaynagar Haqiqat Park.
The pair of students, later named Abhinav and Abhimanyu, followed the women and began a barrage of profanity, insisting they step into the vehicle and pushing them toward the driver's seat.
When the woman posted a shaky video of the encounter, she immediately ran to Mukherjee Nagar Police Station. The officers filed an FIR, detained the students and traced the car’s registration number DL11CF4447 to driver Naman Anil Kumar, who is now a person of interest.
