On Friday, the Fast‑Track Court in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, issued a non‑bailable warrant against actress Rakhi Sawant for a 2010 suicide case.
The case centers on Laxman Ahirwar, a resident of Hansari’s Prem Nagar, who allegedly took his own life on 10 November 2010 after feeling humiliated by Sawant’s remarks on her show "Rakhi Ka Insaaf".
Ahirwar’s mother, Savitri, lodged a complaint at the Prem Nagar police station, alleging that Sawant used insulting language toward her son during an October 2010 episode, after the couple had been invited to the show amid marital discord.
The warrant followed Sawant’s repeated absences from court, prompting the judge to act. The next hearing is slated for December 1, putting the entertainer on a tight deadline to respond.
